I'm not a fan of pop-musical movies, where it's loaded with contemporary and classic pop hits to get butts in seats, but Sing was genuinely watchable. The Mario movie has been in gestation for years now, and Miyamoto is involved to such a degree that he's making announcements on its behalf. If Nintendo wasn't happy with the final product, I don't think Miyamoto would be shilling for it.
