Charles Martinet is in the movie, it's not like they forgot about him. They just needed to help the flow of dialogue in the movie, and the game voices aren't conducive to a big Hollywood production. Like I'd be down for Mario short films with Charles' voice-acting, but an entire Hollywood movie? Something like this was bound to happen. I'm not a fan of Chris Pratt as Mario either, but Charlie Day and Jack Black?
