Topic	I never realized how dehydrated i was in my life lol

About five years ago I got a bad case of influenza, and because I was a stupid turd who wouldn't drink straight water 9 times out of 10, I got a dehydration headache that was so bad that I became hypersensitive to light and sound. If a light was too bright, or if a sound was too loud, it would feel like someone was trying to cut through my skull from the inside out. I would trail off into gibberish and then go completely nonverbal if one of these pangs hit while I was talking, I didn't have the capacity to talk and cope with the pain at the same time - and while the flu was responsible for getting me into this state, what it did was dehydrate me to that point where I couldn't function on a basic human level. They put me on a saline drip up at the hospital, and over the course of that weekend I must have drank my weight's worth of water. I can't exaggerate how painful that headache was - it was the worst pain I've felt in my life. And the sheer relief of getting rid of those headaches by drinking all that water is impossible to describe. I felt like a new person. All of that was preamble, by the way. What I wanted to say was that once I got out of hospital, it took me a week or two to go out of my way and keep consuming straight water. The taps at my place were old, and I was a paranoid shit who was worried about old pipe fixings leeching lead into the water. So I began buying bottled water. The first time I drank a 1.5 litre bottle of water, I swear to god it felt like it flowed right through me and rehydrated a turd I had waiting. Drinking all that water at once led to probably the healthiest feeling shit I've ever done in my life - just a total cleanse from the inside out, like a helicopter dropping a ton of water out if a bucket onto a wildfire. Shit was fucking awesome.
