Its barely symbolic - the whole book is pretty laid out and bare bones to the point the only thing youre ever noticing is how much Holden is a whiney brat who you continually try to pick on not knowing parts of you IS the way he acts Its like if Norm MacDonald wrote a book with a punchline that you expected the whole time and you say haha I knew that and hes laughing at you the entire time for getting the one up on you while youre wondering why hes laughing the entire time hes telling you the joke --- ...
