Steve left the show in 2002, very shortly after the War In Afghanistan started, and only came back once the war was over and we called back all of our troops. I'll bet he was part of a secret Black Ops squad, using his expert clue-finding skills to help track down Osama Bin Laden and other terrorists, and he just can't tell us the truth because it's classified information. ~~I'm kidding, of course.
