I'm prepping to be told that I'm gonna have to get at least one root canal which I hear are pretty painful. Having a baby is what spurred me and my wife to finally get this taken care of. I have had 2 root canals. They aren't bad, just takes a long time. If the endodontist is worth anything you will be so numbed up that you won't feel a thing. I was extremely nervous for my first, as I had such bad tooth pain that I couldn't even sleep. I practically feel asleep in the chair due to the pain finally being numbed.
