If a majority vote in favor of removing him then whichever of the 45+ candidates running that gets the most votes wins. They dont even need a majority of votes, simply who gets the most among them. Its a special off-year election against an incumbent, and theres a lot of angry Republicans/conservatives that are motivated to remove him.
