anyway those songs, and the original gravity man, all inject me with this intense feeling i rarely experience from music. i don't know how to describe it exactly, but the moment i heard all of these, i knew i was in love, and thrust to this expansive, universe-sized musical environment i had never been inside of before. it was like every note was now possible, somehow. there were no limits, even with a misleadingly conventional exterior, anything could happen and it would feel profound. there did not have to be a sharp dividing line separating convention from abnormal area; at the flip of a switch your world could turn upside down.
