a vanilla town hard-claimed PR to start day 1 (...again)

they didn't claim which PR though

the idea is what they call the bucket strategy

concept: all three town PRs claim they are PR day 1 but don't say which. any scum who tries to claim PR will be outed eventually more likely than not, so it effectively gives you 3 confirmed town immediately and scum have a hard time even killing them because they have a 1/3 chance to block the doctor and if they don't block the doctor, a 50/50 of not shooting who the doctor saves. so either roll the dice on that or shoot outside the confirmed town.

being vig I was not in support of claiming PR day 1, for selfish reasons

the other two real PRs openly claimed in reaction to the VT faking, then the VT rescinded

I refused to ever come forward for day 1 but was extremely vocal about the strategy being dumb despite it being "optimal" because it's just...ya know, lame

D2 I openly claimed vig and said I'm locked into shooting the VT who claimed and rescinded to start the game. This player was Ephemera - one of the two scum I pegged in my qualifier. so it was simple for me to fake tilting on them as a reaction test. 12-18 or so hours after I said I was locked into my shot I came back and said the whole thing was an act and that I wasn't vig at all. but of course nobody else was claiming PR so scum pretty much figured it was me (not that I could know for sure at the time whether they were buying me)

I ended day with my vote on someone else other than Ephemera

so they were banking on me shooting either ephemera or the player I was voting or the counterwagon to the VT who got mislynched day 2

but I shot the RB instead, someone I'd never openly suspected except having them in a POE of like 5 people at one point
