The best part was Kazuma's Nocturne playing. (late-game spoilers) It ruins any tragic elements that theme might have, and just as well, since we later learn there really isn't much to be sad about Kazuma anymore.
Also something funny about Rei is that she has a damage animation... that she only does after the trial is over. During the trial she never does a damage animation when getting contradicted in court even though you'd think having evidence on you being a murderer would be more shocking.

tbf judges have let things fly in the past before like perceive and the whole mood matrix. Or just simple things like allowing defendants or random witnesses that were previously unaccounted for on the stand after they've barged in uninvited with something to say. Also, not sure if you've finished the game or not.

I only started the second case so no I don't know what happens later

Brett was sitting on a chair directly in front of the opening Menimemo stuck his camera through. All he had to do was empty his pen into her glass while she was holding it. She wouldn't notice if he did it while Rei was confronting her about the missing poison.

So we are to assume he also dropped the pen by mistake and then she picked it up?
