Damn if ebay is anything to go by my two controllers, the snes, Mario kart, and lttp would easily get 200 bucks even though I dont have boxes for any of them. Thats ridiculous.

Wonder what my n64 and games are worth.

My collection of 1st party N64 games w/custom cases and repro manuals are likely worth half a grand total so if you've got the highly sought after games like Conker, you're looking at a real fuckton of cash in your pocket. Same goes for Gamecube.

Yeah, that is an option. But I like playing og hardware, I keep a crt for that purpose. Emulation is cool, and I'll be more on that train when I'm older I think, but there's just a certain something about the old school style you know?

Here's my opinion because I was in your shoes at one point. Nothing lasts forever, especially physical media (I'm surprised my SNES actually turns on tbqh). There is also a wealth of hidden gems in the SNES catalog that would require ALOT of money to experience on the original hardware, so always keep an open mind to what matters to you in the long term if you enjoy the games and not just collecting them as an investment or whatever.

It's really like managing an old ass car. Something goes wrong like your SNES processing chip fries or you start seeing green lines all over your CRT, you'll be on your own remedying it. Just something to think about for the future, ya know.
