| Topic | "Nice guys" wouldn't exist if people weren't raised to be nice. |
| Twin3Turbo 08/05/21 7:27:14 PM #19: | I have been saying this for the longest. People always boil it down to nice guys just pretend to be nice for sex, but Ive never viewed it that simply. They are nice because they are raised that way and there is tons of feedback in the media saying that a nice well meaning guy always win the girl in the end. Ask a woman what kind of guy she likes and its not uncommon to hear something along the lines of I want a nice caring guy, with little added to it. Couple that with tons of movies and TV shows where the nice well meaning guy gets the girl in the end by virtue of basically the love interest finally realizes what a guy he is after some sort of problem is resolved. The problem is that the nice guy doesnt realize that theres more to it than this, a lot more. And they think that just by virtue of being nice, women should notice them and fall in love. The other problem is that there is a lot of pressure on men to behave a certain way in regards to dating but there arent a lot of avenues out there teaching men how to actually be attractive to women in a healthy way. --- ...
