It's probably more the fact her butt cheeks would be touching the seat. If you look at the link, you can see how the kind of jean shorts she wears look like from behind... and there's a lot of behind there.

Besides damaging the seats, there's a public health issue there.

Admittedly, I've never pooped while being a woman, so perhaps it works differently for them, but in my personal experience, I don't usually have poop come out of my butt cheeks. In fact, nothing in my experience makes me think that the skin exposed by booty shorts would any less sanitary than any other skin. But maybe that's just me.
