Thats just based on research Ive pick up on this along the years But I dont see how that would change anything. You mention how muscles wont need as much body fat to function, but that should matter. More muscles dont mean less body parts that need fat to function. The rest of the body should still need the same amount of fat to function

It's how the body fat calculation, which is a percentage, works. If you add muscle mass but keep the same fat mass, your body fat percentage goes down. Because your denominator (total mass) has increased, while the numerator (fat mass) stayed the same.
