That's basically what made him cool. Because you could project pretty much whatever you wanted onto him. It's part of why everything a Fett does in the prequels chips away at that, because they fill in all the blanks, and all of those blanks wind up being stupid. Same problem with the Han Solo movie. Half of what makes Han cool is his mysterious backstory. Making a 2-hour movie that references every off-handed comment he's ever made in the lamest way possible is pretty much taking everything cool about the character and taking a red-hot shit on it. Blightzkrieg posted... I know all of that PO, doesn't change my point. Yeah, but my point was more that it's harder to object to a retcon when the thing being retconned was itself a retcon, and the new retcon is mostly just restoring the original status quo to some extent. But then again, I don't really have a horse in that fight. At no point in my life did I ever really care about Boba Fett, and I hated about 99.44% of the EU, so I'm more inclined to prefer anything that doesn't have the stink of the prequels or the EU on them.
