Nintendo claims this extends the game's life (probably depends on the person) and it let's them spend more time on it, but it hurts the reviews. Splatoon was an 81 when it first released but I am certain it would have been higher if all the content from the first 6 months had been included. But my bigger concern is that some reviews, including NintendoLife, claim it has a budget title feel. Also the AC: NH route. They added a few things over the course of a year.
