No I'm not disputing anything you've said. I'm saying too many people don't care or just throw their hands up and say "lol its the breed what can ya do" as their dog is snapping and snarling and pulling on it's leash.
Mine would pull and jump around at first if he saw another dog, through training I can now get him to sit reasonably still while we let the other dog pass at a safe distance if we're on a walk.
Sadly, being shredded by a shitbull and watching me get shredded (I'm told he actually jumped back in after I separated them and the pit turned on me) for absolutely no reason while on his own territory has set him back a bit.

Sorry that you got hurt, but dogs don't attack for no reason. There are always precursors, and there are levels to dog aggression. Some dogs can't stand the sight of another dog and will scrap at the drop of a hat, others direct it at certain dogs (i.e intact male), others ignore until they're challenged.
