If you see a dog with a wagging tail looking at you or coming you're way you naturally assume they are in a friendly or curious state of mind, not with Pitbulls. They can do that and be on their way to maul you. A wagging tail on a dog does not mean that it is always a friendly outward gesture. A wagging tail could also indicate anything from fear to excitement, aggression, or a challenge of dominance.
