Yeah, honestly havn't seen a free to play game that let you do as much without spending money, even Path of Exile really needs you to spend at least a bit on stash tabs (which is fine cause I wanted to support the game and they are so not greedy).

Dungeons and dragons online also can let you play a ton without spending money, but honestly at least getting 1 month (but 3 months for $20 makes more sense) of VIP makes a ton of sense if your gonna play it.

Genshin Impact literally seems to not need you to spend a dime to get the full experience. Luck is involved somewhat, but even that doesn't seem to be that big since you get a decent number of good characters automatically just from playing (including 2 fire characters which is really important and Barbara who is the best healing in the game I believe).

Honestly already put in 30+ hours into the game and havn't spent a sent, but I would be totally willing to actually spend some money just to support the game since I'm enjoying it so much. I'll eventually probably look up what the best method is of spending money on the game since I'll want to support it at least a bit (If I play something over 100 hours, I figure it's worth at least spending $20 to support it).

It reminds me a bit of Marvel Heroes in a way, since the may thing you could spend money on that game was to obtain additional characters (But you could eventually get them all just by playing if you wanted). I spent quite a bit opening up characters for that game before it shut down (with many chars I barely got to try after buying them!!).

Anyway I highly recomend Genshin Impact, even if you do buy tons of games etc, like I said, I am enjoying it more then I did Breath of the wild...which I bought on release for full price.
