What astonishes me is that in real life some people think I'm kind of a jerk, and some women have still been attracted to me, despite them knowing I'm misogynistic. I've slut shamed women (sometimes obvious, most of the time in subtle ways), called them ugly, unattractive, and so on.

Maybe its the infamy that draws people in. Just as long as you're not perceived as weak, you can be an asshole, but you cant be weak. I think as long as you can persuade some people within your social network that you're not really a bad guy people will continue to like you.
