Even if those mistakes can ruin people. YT released a new detection algorithm recently where it basically assumed every video that had any 9/11 footage was endorsing terrorism and thus channels were demonetized without ability to appeal. I don't think it's evil, I think it's just a bunch of people with way too much power not caring if they "step on some ants". Particularly if it's in the name of something virtuous like fighting racism, fascism, or anti-science.
