You go after us, the consumers, your patrons, because it's easier to do so than to go after the human scum that won't pay you what you deserve. Before these idiots you'd have made a living delivering for pizza hut or domino's or whatever, just like a cab driver or a limo driver could have made a living before uber.

For the record, if you had to drive a full hour to deliver me food, I'd be tipping you $10. But TBQH I'd not order food that's 1 hr away, that's just dumb, lol. I ain't tipping $5 for a dude that had to drive a block, though, LOL. I'd tip $3. It's all about proportionality.

I'm not going after anyone. I'm stating that tipping $5 minimum on an order is reasonable.

But in your example of only tipping $3 for me only traveling a block that's just fine. There is some grey area here.

I make a decent wage doing this job and I'm happy to do the work. Yeah I'd prefer something more consistent than this, but it is certainly reliable enough that I could do it for another year or two. This isn't a perfect job by any means, but I'm also not getting screwed. I got screwed way worse working for UPS and FedEx.
