Absolutely. Its ridiculous to read stories online of women who are doing everything for the baby while their SO just games and hangs out with friends. Id never tolerate that. But I also think some women put too much pressure on themselves to do it all and have low bars for what they expect out of their SO. They talk about their husbands helping them like its some huge thing. Meanwhile my husband is proud to be a good dad. He gets offended if people make comments about him helping me. To him thats his daughter and his job.
Part of it can also be the scenario my wife and I were in, when our son was born I was working close to 16 hours a day and she was on mat leave, so she took control of the house and the baby while I worked my long unforgiving shifts. I'd help out with what I could on work days and my days off I basically used to give her a break from the kid, so I was basically going non-stop for a year.
