| Topic | Babies aren't always so hard! |
| MabusIncarnate 05/28/21 11:24:49 PM #20: | I don't have kids myself, but my wife's sister lived with us and she had 3 babies while she was here, so I had a big hand in raising my nieces and nephews. It has more ups than downs, and I wouldn't trade the overall experience for anything. My one nephew is now 8 and he can read me like a book, I suffer a lot with depression and he knows the look on my face when i'm down, and the way he just comes up and hugs me for like 2 minutes melts my heart. He doesn't have a concept of depression, or mental illness, but how he senses that i'm just not okay and he can make it better is incredible. Sorry if this is a bit personal but I felt like it was something I should share. --- Above us lay the burdens, Below us lay the truths. We're somewhere in the middle, and we're all discontent too.
