You're comparing ACTUAL CRIMES to someone who said things you don't agree with, when MTG used the kind of hyperbole you routinely see in Washington. If anything, you should ask why she's being held to a higher standard than AOC who routinely makes outlandish or hyperbolic statements. Or, hell, why is she being held to a higher standard than a literal Holocaust denier like Rashida Tlaib who hasn't resigned and continues to lie about Israel and the Jewish people. And MTG has faced consequences for at least some of her previous statements (things she said years ago), unlike AOC and Tlaib And, while we're on the subject, why weren't charges ever leveled against Harry Reid when he was funneling donor money to his grand-daughter? Or why nothing happened to Nancy Pelosi when she violated California's mask laws? Or why John Kerry could fly on a public airline without a mask because he felt uncomfortable? You talk about a double-standard favoring one party, but you have the party wrong. Hell, in CT, one of our Democrat mayors was convicted of taking bribes but got elected back to office.... where he was subject to more FBI investigations.
