I agree. Butertin has a take I really like. Every crypto boom is a result of a new tech in the sector taking off. Then subsequently, after to a few months, it's realized the technology isn't there yet to support the whole ecosystem at scale, and with reasonable fees.

It happened in 2016 when Smart Contracts came to ETH, and PoS came out with the "ETH Killers" (ADA, EOS, ect...)

Now it's happening with DeFi and NFT's.

I have a couple ideas around which tech will cause the next boom. They almost always occur shortly after the BTC halving (though that may not be the case with ETH 2.0 on the horizon)

I think the next boom is led by Subgraphs, Oracles, and Web3 finally being viable, and it's not $50 to do anything on ETH chain.
