Figured a singular topic would be good for this.

Last night I gathered up all my shit coins and converted them to ETH. Came up with ~.14 ETH total from airdropped tokens.

I have question to the miners as well, what pool (if any) do you use?

How does someone come to the decision crypto is a better investment than an index fund like VTSAX?

I've been reading price charts. If ETH can settle above $2000 for the next 24 hours, there is very little resistance to the $2500 level

These gains are excellent. I am just waiting until May before I sell anything. I need to reach that one year point, where capital gains is taxed at a lower rate.

Also, if you are hodling, don't forget about services like celsius, crypto.com, etc. I mentioned it in the past, but currently they are offering 5-13% APY. Depending on the crypto you store with them.

Lending your coins to exchanges for annual yield is an excellent long term option. I have found if you are going to do this, it's good to invest in the native exchange tokens like BNB. Exchanges will always burn those tokens to maintain liquidity. These are why theses coins usually give the highest percentage yields.

stake mining delegation is also an option.(yield 4 - 15% APY depending on the coin). I have successfully delegated my ADA, VET, and AMP using stake mining pools.

Mark Cuban announced that he is all in on BTC and ETH btw.

ETH stayed above 2,000 USD this weekend.

Currently at 87.26 MH/s but sometimes average is over 100 MH/s.

I'm gonna get a 3080 or 3090 soon and increase that a lot. I'm tired of shopblt pushing back my order so over the weekend I built a checkout bot. Also gonna try and get a ps5 for my brother in law with it.

I have a 2060 and a 2070 super. I use the Claymore miners on my laptops. I was thinking of getting an asic miner. Mine ether until 2.0 comes out, then move POW mining to bitcoin.

I do mostly stake pool mining with ADA, AMP, GRT, and VET since those are all POS algorithms.

One thing I haven't tried doing yet is actually doing any transactions or trying to sell my coin. Like if I sell 40 eth am I gonna have to pay some crazy taxes on that?

So you would have to sell it from an exchange. Those are all needed photo id verification these days in the US.

I sold about 2k worth of coin last year, and didn't have to pay on it. My exchange said 1099-K's are printed for over 6k in gains or 200+ transactions a year. Also trading your ether for another coin is considered a taxable event. Basically, if your exchange gives you a 1099-K, they sent one to the IRS too, and you need to claim it in taxes.

I have no idea how they are handling miners exactly. I know if you bought the coin you are taxed on gains, so maybe its all taxable since it's all gains. You could then claim your solar power upkeep as a deduction since it's needed for your income.

A very good morning indeed. TONS of coins are up. I also wanted to copy this for any newbies looking to trade, I really think these 3 coins should be in every wallet.

ETH - Will be the open blockchain where data is stored, ETH will be used to share data across the chain.

LINK - Is used to bring bring real world data (bank statements, credit card receipts, contract agreements) to the block chain as a digital asset.

GRT - The google of blockchain. GRT is used to query the blockchain to find data on the chain that you can use to make decisions.

tldr; ETH holds real world data, LINK puts real world data on the chain, GRT lets you access that real world data.

This is this holy trinity of the blockchain, and if these don't succeed (which 2/3 are and the 3rd is going to pop as soon as bot balancers stop monitoring trades) many of the other coins will follow. Pretty much every major ETH chain app uses these 3 coins to some extent.

I also didn't include BTC because that's just digital gold, and has shown it has a place in world without the larger ecosystem.

I'm not totally sure, but I think you can buy tokens on Coinbase without ID verification, you just can't participate in the rewards program. Obviously getting some form of ID is a really good idea.

You used to not need ID, that's how I got my initial coins many years ago... but you need ID now.

Yep, ~10 billion worth of long positions were liquidated today. Tomorrow should see interesting action. I think this will either trigger sell off action in casuals, or the bulls are breathing in before charging. Could be both too.
