Topic	Is there a non-emotional reason to support the death penalty?

It only takes indifference/apathy to support the death penalty. I argue against it because it does nothing to lower crime, is more expensive and the government not having the power to execute citizens is one more barrier to the government abusing its powers in an irreversible manner. --- F.C.
