I'm in a different position, but I have plenty of insight. Most insurance companies only want a 4 year degree or prior insurance experience of any sort. I know people who were hired with finance degrees, life science degrees, political science, chemistry, English, etc. A lot of companies will hire like 10 people at a time and put them in a classroom for like 10 weeks to teach them the basics. There are a lot of different types of insurance underwriting you can do as well: life, health, property and casualty, group life, mortgage, and more! It's a great start to a career. Automation will be a concern in the future, but it's a good-paying first step into a lucrative industry for a lot of people with different backgrounds. --- "Or do you want to know more about my vagina?" *LIE* "No" ...
