Dynamax is not even close to balanced in singles. Doubles maybe but it's literally 3 turns of Mega Evolution and Z moves that also boost stats, or set terrain, or set weather. Only one Z move ever set terrain, mews.

Mega Evolution is the most balanced of these three because it's predictable. If someone brings a Lugia, Hooh, and a regular Beedrill, you know with 99% certainty that it's a Mega.

With Dynamax any pokemon with insane offensive stats can bring a flying type move and become nigh unstoppable.

Z moves are also more balanced than Dmax, but not by much. If Ninjask can OHKO a Heatran, I think the balance is thrown off.

Mega Evolution while predictable, is not more balanced because it increases various stats by significant amounts. Dynamax only increases current HP and Max HP and grants access to Max Moves, which can be a double edged sword if you Dynamax at the wrong time because you lose access to your regular moves. Lastly Ninjask isn't one shotting Heatran without some setup for buffs / Baton Pass, even with Dynamax.
