| AlisLandale 05/15/21 4:34:22 AM #1: | Just discovered then finished the series in a week. Idk it just grabbed me and Im mad I overlooked it till now lol. Tbh the original hook was already great and as obvious as the season 1 twist should have been, I didnt see it coming. There was just so much good material in season 1 that they really didnt need to develop the premise any further. But they did. And they kept moving and evolving and holy shit youd think a show that keeps changing its basic premise as often as this one does would just get bad or not know what it wants to be, but its all golden. Like after the first few episodes i was just expecting a fun, warm comedy but it just gets so unexpectedly heavy by the end I was actually teary eyed. Ughhhhh why did I watch through this whole show in a week I should have just done a bit at a time now its over already aghhhhh But really the actress who plays Janet has got some fucking range. Also Holts husband being a big business president-style demon is fucking great. Kevins episodes in Brooklyn 99 were my favorite of that series just for that guy, and hes just as awesome here lol. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
