This is one reason im anti death penalty, if one innocent person is executed all executions must be stopped and yes I would feel that way if one of my family members was a victim, the government has no right to execute anyone imo

I disagree. The state has the right to do so. However, I echo your first statement. The state cannot in good conscious execute anyone if there is even a slight doubt. It cannot be undone. In this case, a terrible miscarriage of justice led to an innocent man losing his life.
