They're fairly solid, but once something breaks, it's literally cheaper to buy a whole new car instead of trying to fix that one small thing. So if you get one used and something, even as small as the cupholder or window doesn't work, you'll probably never get it fixed, unless you want to dump 20-80k. It's impressive. There's apparently lots full of once 100-150k mercedes selling for under 20k, but no one wants to touch em for this reason. 20-80 k is a gross exaggeration. Ive had some electronic seat controls fall off a couple times and at most its 100 for parts and labor. My old co worker drives a late 90s e-class and had to replace some bearings. $300.
