That's exactly my point. Let's say the guy took a shot at him, missed, and hit some poor kid out shopping with the parents. Or a fight starts, cops show up and we have another officer involved shooting. People don't think or care about the possible domino effect of starting a confrontation with a stranger.

Also, I dont think its against the law anywhere to touch peoples property as long as youre not damaging, using or stealing it. Otherwise, people would be getting fined for brushing past peoples cars in a narrow parking situation or for putting flyers under windshield wipers. So yes, he has the right.

Probably should've taken the literal minute to Google that. I did. It literally is illegal to put something on someone's property that you do not own. Additionally, magnets can pick up tiny rocks and metal fragments (p common in a HD parking lot) and scratch/damage the paint. Especially if they've been, say, dropped and hastily applied.

You're missing my point, which is two wrongs don't make a right.
