you must be 2000+ born....

My account is from 2002, so how does that match work? Meanwhile you made your most recent joke account (well, that joke account) in 2017.

that show, even seemingly aimed at a younger age group that the original he man, was way more adult and better written with slow unfolding story.

Are you talking about Blackstar or the She-Ra reboot? I can't tell what you're rambling about because you're too incoherent from the get-go. Even later on in the post, I wasn't sure since it was such a non sequitur

or just trolling.

The staggering irony (or hypocrisy?) of the remark was lost on no one.

there are tons of subjective reasons to not like the show that can be chalked up to simple opinion and taste. But structurally, development wise, and storytelling wise its more solid cohesive and better written than every aspect of he man and certainly better than the old (women cant punch people) she ra cartoon of the 80s.

I criticized ONE plot development and you pretend that it's an indictment of the show as a whole. And, honestly, that show does deserve be indicted, but not for that reason.

maybe Kevin smith can do something comparable w his he man re boot (I hope he does, it he doesnt it all dies on the vine), but for now that series is pretty much the gold standard for the masters of the universe. And I was around and playing w the 80s toys before the cartoon came out.

I wouldn't even give it a gold sticker, let alone call it a gold standard. The writing wasn't particularly great, most of the character designs looked ripped from Tumblr, the fight scenes were often just awful to the point where I wondered why they bothered having them, etc. I wouldn't say that it was the worst thing ever, but the only things it had over the 80s She-Ra were a larger amount of running continuity (which isn't so much a credit to the show but just how cartoons tend to work now), the fact that it's newer, and they didn't go as budget on the VA-work

And if Kevin Smith is doing a He-Man reboot, I don't have high hopes.

Otherwise I remember the 2000s He-Man getting some praise when it came out, but I'm not sure how well it aged since I haven't seen that one.
