Or is the only "source" literally the claims of the murderer? I'm getting so fucking sick of this shit where the key to a successful defense is murder all the witnesses.
If the only account you have of how actions transpired prior to the homicide is the word of the killer, that shouldn't mean jack shit. Anything that can't be verified by video footage, crime scene investigation, or witnesses, shouldn't even be considered in court. The murderer's words mean nothing.

I worked for a bit with someone who actually went through the police academy. One of the instructors actually told the class that if you have to shoot someone, it's better to shoot them dead because it'll be easier and cleaner if the suspect isn't alive to try and take them to court.
