To add to the above and focus on the cost.

Even for 1 person your prob spending over 50$ especially after tip to eat at one.

A good ribeye steak is about $15 from a good butcher etc. Two of them would only be $30, you could get a filet mignon and a Rib eye, and a bunch of other stuff, and cook it perfects for less then going to the brazilian steak house.

Thing is, back in the day I could eat like 3+ pounds of steak easily, probably up to 5 without getting really full, so then even buying rib eye steaks (boneless for 8.99 at safeway), at home would not be cheaper then a steakhouse.

But now? I can make as good of a ribeye with a 6.99/pnd (how much they are this week at safeway due to easter) at home on my grill. i can buy mushrooms + fries/baked potatoe to have with it for less than $3 more, and have just as filling and good of a meal for $10 at home, with no tipping, no driving (and already home after eating and being really full).

I could literally have that meal EVERY DAY OF A WEEK if I wanted compared to just eating at a brazilian steakhouse once.....so yeah, doesn't make much sense to do often anymore.

Now mongolian bbq is usually like $15 total (including tip!), I get tons of food made just the way I want it, and i don't have a way to cook it like that at home easily, so it totally makes sense.
