Got a call from someone who claimed to be calling from my medical insurance provider. I did take leave started last Friday so thought it might be related to that.

She started the call by saying it was to discuss new offerings and the call was being recorded for quality purposes. Then she said they took security very seriously and would like for me to identity myself by providing my full name, DOB and address they have on file.

Yeah no, if you are calling me then Im not providing any info. Which is what I told the chick on the phone. She sounded very nervous and was quick to say ok and end the call. Looked up the number and theres been a few reports of it being a scam.

Never provide any identifying info if you arent the one calling them.
