So while you don't maximize your profit from the sale you do maximize the amount of paper hands you shake loose and disruption to investor confidence and can often buy back in for cheaper because of the stop-losses you had hit But how many people in GME actually have stop losses set? I'll say the first time this kind of thing happened, from $160 to $60, it was pretty scary. The second time, from $480 to $120, I wanted to buy more but couldn't because my brokerage wasn't allowing it. This time I bought more.
