The battle system and job system were really fun for me, but part of that is because I made myself play in a specific way to keep it engaging. Folks who bash it usually complain that it gets too easy too fast. The story is also kinda weak because it's a bunch of independent threads for each character that don't relate at all until the very very end. Octopath gets a lot of hate but the battle system was actually pretty damn good. Same with the jobs. If you want good combat that's a good choice but the story, or at least the structure of the story, is very poorly done. Still worth a shot though. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
