I was with that company for 5 years and during my last few months I was told I was a clock watcher if I left on the dot or shortly after. And I'd typically come in 10 mins early. At my new job my boss is totally cool with us leaving 5-10 mins early or if we had to go somewhere (like taking my kids to soccer). If there was something urgent that needed to be done sure I'd stay the extra 10-15mins or more, but when it's not needed why live at work? What a joke.
