Well that works for some people but many people do not have a good situation, and they couldn't avoid harsh realities even if they wanted to. Plus even if you only care about your own situation, you have to be really delusional (or super rich) to look at it and be like, yeah, this really is the best we can do. I want things to get better for others and I think it can be done while making them better for me too! But it does require seeing some ugly truths. I agree there are better things to do with one's time than yell at boomers on FB but the both sidesing of racism and anti-racism really makes me roll my eyes. Then again I'm posting this on a site that has like a thousand regular users so I'm a dumbass too Surround yourself with positive people in your life rather than people who disagree with you on everything.
