| Seanchan 02/28/21 5:42:23 PM #37: | Re-listened to Alive 2007. One of my favorite albums of all time and truly an example of something that's the sum of more than its parts. Aside from the coda, it's hard to pick individual songs as favorites because this really is best listened to in full as a complete piece. I love the bits of the audience that we get to hear and I think it brings a lot in capturing the energy of the live performance. This was the album that made me realize there's art in being a DJ. It's more than just playing a bunch of songs. It's about creating "flow" and reading the energy of the audience and all sorts of stuff I don't really understand other than knowing that there's a certain emotional connection that you make and play off of. This was a fun exercise. Can't say I'm likely to do it again for too many other artists but for Daft Punk I make an exception.
