The story involves the central themes and actual plot of the game. The story is average. The writing involves Bowser saying Haiku's, the man in Rose Town going nuts when you finish his sidequest, Mallow reminding you that you're not Bruce Lee, and one of Johnny's Henchman stating, "How dare you dodge the barrel." The writing is what makes the game a unique and charming experience, the story exists to keep everything moving. An opposite example would be the 999 series having really entertaining stories, but absolute trash-tier writing. --- Official ANCIENT Killer.
