She got her powers from a gem that can alter reality, and we spent 10 years establishing the power of the stones. I can accept that, powerful alien artifact/weapon/whatever. There's been no allusion towards the existence of heaven or hell, and if they keep Mephisto as the literal devil then that effectively establishes the Bible as being real (which was always my problem with his and to an extent Deaths existence in the comics) in the MCU. Which brings a host of questions and problems, chief o which being where was God during the Infinity War? It's stupid, unnecessary and just doesn't belong as "canon" in another fictitious universe imo. Both stories are strong enough to exist and stand on their own --- "You go. I'm just going to stare at the lake and think about how I almost just killed a baby." ... Copied to Clipboard! |
