The state everyone's leaving
According to the Census Bureau, CA during its worst years lost 1-3% of it's population annually. The state is big. Those numbers were big.

According to the Census Bureau, CA lost 0.18% or -69,532 people last year.

I know redcaps and people in flyover states like the narrative, but there is no mass exodus.

Look at population related issues per capita, not raw numbers. Per capita provides context. Any number regarding California will be big.
