Yeah if they were going to be so experimental, might as well just do something new and make it a little less awkward. Still, they had a perfectly fine song to work with and I think adding the vocals was great. If it had been just that I think it would have been perfect. But then they change the beat and by the time it's over for me at least I'm more underwhelmed than wowed. The song demands too much from the listener, but then really doesn't payoff that much. For comparison, an age ago when we got IGAB from SNSD the song was big enough that the changes felt good. Yes it was over the top but that's okay because the whole song was like that. It's too bad because the girls are so good they actually pull the song off once you understand what they're doing, but there's such a thing as overdoing it to the point where you just look confusing and sloppy no matter how good you really are upon a closer look. At that point you really have to be into it from the beginning to really enjoy it, so maybe I just don't get it, but bottom line for me this style has never been my cup of tea to start with and there's too much good Kpop out there that I also actually like.
