Kinda confused about the number of free time events each character has in DR1. I'd have assumed it was based on how long they're alive or available for free time progression, but in this playthrough I'm currently doing I wanna get the character I don't like out of the way so only happy times await in the future. In the first chapter I wanted to do
Leon. But despite
Sayaka having more free time slots available (the first of the 3 slots in chapter 1 can only be done with them), they only have 2 free time events total, and after spending my two other ones of chapter 1 on them,
Leon still isn't maxed out and has at least 3 (don't tell me how many the characters have, it's kind of interesting to me to experience on my own). Curious choice. So you actually can't max
Leon out in a single playthrough of the main game, but you can
Sayaka and have leftover to spare in chapter 1. In chapter 2 I worked on
Celeste, and despite being in the game for 2 less chapters (well 3, but there's no free time in chapter 6), they have the same amount of events as
Asahina, who survives. Very bizarre.
