Should Kate have probed further on the subject early on? Would Geoff have even provided answers then?
i think the timing was always going to be screwy. like if they met only a few years or less after Geoff's experience, he could have mentioned it in passing but she doesn't feel comfortable pressing further because it's his trauma and the thought that he would open up when he's ready. but years after, why do you want to bring that subject up, if you haven't forgotten about it? and i don't think it would have even crossed her mind years into their relationship because she's convinced (even if he hasn't outright stated it) that he's moved on because their relationship is going so great.
