Starting the trial. Feeling ambivalent about this chapter. On the one hand, the virtual world stuff was a complete momentum killer. Twilight Syndrome was kind of the same for me in DR2, but much less so. Even if overall you didn't spend that much time exploring the that world, I just didn't wanna play it.
On the other hand, I'm finding the mystery of the case of two worlds really exciting. I didn't even mind investigating in there.
I actually have some ideas this time. The obvious suspect is clearly Kokichi. But I feel like it isn't him and his account of the roof being locked is gonna end up being key. Seems pretty clear that Iruma's intent with modifying and inviting everyone into the virtual world was to murder Kokichi. The border she set up in the world I assume is that the world actually wraps around itself and she was the only one who could pass between the edge. Well, her and items like the sign board. She probably got thrown off the roof and into the chapel wall, Though I'm not sure that's what killed her. I'm not sure if any death in the virtual world could have caused her real-world expression except maybe drowning. I don't remember what was taken from the roof shed. Maybe the washing board or whatever it was that was found next to her. I feel like... it might be Tsumugi. If only Iruma could pass through the border and she died on the side with the Mansion, as I suspect, then it has to be someone on the mansion side, which would be me, Tsumugi, Kaito, Kokichi and Gonta. The record proves Kaito didn't do it. Gonta couldn't do it cause he's Gonta and I will hate the game forever if it makes him a murderer. I just don't think it's Kokichi. Tsumugi could have been on the roof while I was looking in the kitchen. I never went back to the dinning hall to check on her. Though why would she say she saw Iruma if she was the one who did it? So maybe it is Kokichi? One of those two and I'm leaning heavily on Tsumugi.
I'm really missing Iruma's foul mouth already :(
Also, this whole Monotaro death flag is a red herring and Monophanie is gonna die and I'm gonna be stuck with Monotaro for chapter 5. Ugh.
Edit: OH MY GOD, I JUST REALIZED. Iruma isn't dead. She uploaded herself into another person by switching the connective wires around.
Edit: Okay I went through all my evidence again before the trial started after my realization. Yes. It has to be it. The "avatar user error" mentioned meant that on first log in some people got their avatar switching around. Someone got switched with Iruma. She is in someone else's body right now. But I don't know who. Possibly Kokichi. Maki was also acting strange but I can't remember if that was a pre-VR thing as well. Forget everything I said. I'm back to having no idea who it is (but in a different sense). ---
